MacBook Pro Retina Facetime camera suddenly stopped working

My Facetime camera suddenly stopped working today. It does not apear in the hardware under USB

I tried all the tips I could find in the forum

- Restarted/logged out

- Reset SMC

- Reinstalled Flash player

- Installed and ran USB Prober

- Removing the com.apple.desktop.plist file

But this does not help. I bought the laptop during my trip to the USA and there is no local Apple store.

Is there anything else I can try?

Unfortunately that only suggest reseting SMC which I already did.

You can try reinstalling OS X, this shouldn't touch any data or settings, but backup first anyway. Re-boot while holding down Command + R, then reinstall OS X. Will go much faster if you first connect to the Internet using Ethernet.

Could you proivde a link on how to reinstall osx (sorry I am new mac user)? I did not get any disks but I do have wifi connection

Take the system into Apple and have them fix it. Reinstalling the OS will not fix it. It is a hardware problem. If the EFI system, that is like the BIOS in Windows PCs, doesn't see it then it will never show in the OS.
