Can I sync more than one ipad to my itunes account

Yes, you can.

iTune will be able to diffentiate them.

Sure. I sync two iPads and one iPod Touch to the same iTunes library. You can select exactly what you want to sync to each device in the sync settings in all of the tabs in iTunes ... Apps, music, movies, photos.... However you want to set each of them up for content. You can set them up identically as well if you like.

You can give them different names but iTunes will recognize each device by its serial number anyway.
