When i am in the boot camp assistant, it asks me to "download the windows support software for this Mac," however when I try to download it, i get a message that the windows software in not available. How do I make it avilable because I really need to split my hard drive.

If you are running Snow Leopard as indicated in your profile, there are no downloads for the Support Software. The Support Software is on your Snow Leopard disk.

I don't have a disc, not even sure which OS X I'm running, leopard or lion... but there was no disc that came with my laptop. Where can I get that? I'm trying to get my computer to work with my design software and am seriously struggling... nothing is working... 😟
Start your own thread. Do not hijack someone else's. You have to determine which operating system you are running because the solution to your problem depends on it. Click on the Apple in your menu bar and select about this mac. Start a new thread and tell us what your issue is and what operating system you are using, and what you are trying to do.

There are no Windows 8 drivers available for Boot Camp.
