My iPad is showing a "find my iPhone alert" box (xxxx iPod touch has been found) that won't dismiss when "ok" touched. Background "slide to power off" or "slide to unlock" don't respond, so I can't restart the iPad. What do I do next?
iPad (3rd gen) Wi-Fi + Cellular, iOS 6.0.1, AT&T
Try a reset:
Hold the Sleep and Home button down for about 10 second until you see the Apple logo.
Same issue using one iPad to find another, the found iPad can not be used b/c find my iPad alert message will not go away.

I had the same problem, but resetting it worked.
I have this issue too. The alert wouldn't even let me reset it. So frustrating.
