Is there anyway to access and edit documents that I saved in TextEdit on my MACBook Pro running OSX 10.8.2 on my iPhone 4s running iOS6 or must I save them in Dropbox to accomplish this task?

TextEdit is an OS X application and iOS hasn't got it, so you can't read TextEdit files on the phone
