I have Windows 7, iTunes (10.7) and an iPhone 4s. Everything is up-to-date but recently I’ve been getting this message when I try to do a backup of the iPhone:
iTunes could not back up this iPhone because the backup was corrupt or not compatible with the iPhone.
I uninstalled the iTunes but even with the new version, I was still getting the same message.
Can anyone help??
I did as was suggested and uninstalled everything from Apple, including iTunes, then re-installed. However, I am still getting the same message. Basically, I can't back up my iPhone 4s
Edit > Preferences > Devices.
Delete any backups listed.
Backup the device.
May also pay to clear out the backup folder. Details of where that is located are in the support document iTunes: About iOS backups.
