if i use a trackpad skin sticker on my macbook, will it effect the performance of trackpad ? or coud it be harmful ?

Your best bet would be to read the reviews of the skin stickers you are interested in purchasing.
It may not prove harmful, but there was a recent post here from someone who decided (for whatever reason) to use the Moshi palm guard things, regretted it, and had trouble getting the 'goo' off after removal.
The question is - do you really want to use a sticky material on your nice computer? I don't see a need for them. And I would certainly never, never put any sort of trackpad protector on - I didn't even know those kind of things were made. I don't want anything between my finders and the trackpad.
