    Robert, am I correct in understanding that this is an issue that effects to everyone submitting podcasts to iTunes (rather than just libsyn customers)? Has Apple issued any official statement about the issue?

    Yes your are correct.  It is a system wide issue effecting all shows or most shows regardless of where you host.


    Nothing "officially" announced from Apple.  But word from them is that it is something they are aware of and are working.

    I'm from Japan.

    I've been trying to submit podcast since last Friday. And it's still have the same problem.

    I conatcted support team in Japan but they have not figured out what the problem is so far.

    Update: There are two ways to contact support:

    1) using the web interface here:

    2) emailing them directly. The trick is you need to know the correct email.


    The first option was not very helpful. They just gave me answers that seemed like they had simply done a cut and paste from the FAQ. When I asked for more specific information pertaining to my actual question I got more of the same cut+paste anwers.


    The second option is better. There I sent an email to "podcasts at apply dot com" and got back this response today:


    "We are experiencing a known submission error. We are working to resolve this asap and appreciate your patience."

    This confirms what Rob W had said above. So we are still waiting for a fix from Apple, but we know what's wrong.


    I also thought it would be helpful for others to know what the best way to contact customer service is for those of us who know how to RTFM . Part of that solution is this discussion board which is great!


    I'll post again once the issue actually gets solved by Apple.

    I Finally got mine to submit this morning so they must have finally fixed it. I think it's funny this whole time the customer service rep continued to email me articles as if the problem was on my end. This was very frustrating but I'm glad it's finally working....

    does anyone know if this error is still going on? I have been trying to submit my podcast since last night. I have tried clicking that link and as of right now I am on hold with Apple Support for over 26 minutes. I, like everyone else have a timely podcast I need to get up. Am I screwed and need to just keep waiting, and trying?

    Your feed is OK. As you can see above, several people have now managed to submit their podcasts; I can't say whether the problem is generally cured - for one thing it can only be tested by submitting a podcast, which obviously I can't do just for test purposes. I'm afraid you may have to just keep trying.

    I just submitted my podcast and it worked. So it looks like this issue has been resolved by Apple. For what it's worth I'm using iTunes 10.7
