The last minute or so of a lot of songs won't play on my laptop or my ipod. It just skips over it and goes to the next on the list. I tried restoring my ipod, but it does it on my laptop as well. Now what? Any ideas?

Are these tracks you have downloaded from the iTunes Store or were they imported from outside of iTunes? If they are iTunes downloads, delete them from your library and redownload again at no cost via iCloud.
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
Otherwise, you'll need to re-rip or reimport these music into iTunes from its original source.

I only tried it on one song and it did work. Unfortunately, I have a lot of music and deleting and reloading the ones affected may take a while. Thanks for the feedback.
