Mac OS XBeeping at startup means that the machine has failed its hardware self-check at startup. How many beeps there are will tell you what is wrong:

If you replaced the RAM right before this started happening, that may be the issue, but it could be something else. You will probably want to get is checked out by Apple.

If you recently messed with the RAM, reseat it, remove it, exchange it, replace the original.
