No. Yahoo mail is a totally separate mail service, and cannot be used with iCloud. There wouldn't be much point really.

What I would like:

1. To keep my existing Yahoo email address.

2a. To be able to see my email account on a Mac.

2b. To be able to see my email account on an iPad.

2c. These should be synchronised.

3. To be able to read, draft replies to and tidy the emails whilst offline.

I can see that I could logon to the Yahoo account from either the Mac or the iPad and that would tick 1, 2a, 2b & 2c. I could use Mail.app (on, say the Mac) and that would tick 1, 2a & 3. Is there any way that I can tick 1, 2a, 2b, 2c and 3?

I would therefore disagree and say that there is a "point"..."much" may be a matter of opinion though. I was kind of hoping that iCloud could act like an Outlook exchange server-type set-up on top of the Yahoo account.

Any suggestions? Thanks

You can do everything you want by just setting up Yahoo mail as IMAP on all your devices/computers:

Even if iCloud could access Yahoo mail (which it can't and isn't supposed to) there still wouldn't be any point doing it that way when Yahoo lets you do what you want directly.
