do the appMATes work on the ipad mini?
just looking for a present for my son for xmas and seen the cars appMATes. Wondering if they are compatible with the new ipad mini?

The Lightning McQueen car doesn't work on our 64gb iPad mini. If you check the Cars 2 AppMATes app on the iTunes store, it says this:
"Start your engines with CARS 2 AppMATes – Mobile Application Toys, available for iPad! Retail toys are not currently compatible with iPad Mini, but all other functionality is available across all iPad devices. "
