Does anyone else have a problem using the motif xs as a controller in Logic 9.1.8?

When I try to play a song it stutters. This did not happen in 9.1.7. Very annoying. Is there any way to go back to using 9.1.7 after upgrading?

Logic Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.8), Intel Imac

Logic Pro>Preferences>Audio>Devices>Coreaudio

Set a higher I/O Buffer and/or

set a higher Process Buffer Range

Thanks. I tried this but that doesn't solve it. It turns out if I press play & stop on the Motif simultaneously it will play, but then I have to start from the beginning of the song every time I start from the Motif. I really think this has to do with Logic 9.1.8.
