iCloud backup process stalled

I upgraded my iphone 5 to the 64 gig model from the 32. When I tried to backup at the AT&T store the apps would not finish downloading and I was told to try at home. It constantly shows a blue loading bar underneath each app then says waiting, loading, and never finishes the restore process.
