Open Directory Node disappeard

10.5 Open Directory

I seem to have lost access to the existing OD.

WorkGroupManager doesn't snow the /LDAPv3/127.0.0.1 anymore - only the local default directory.

I think it may have happened when I accidently change the Preferences/Sharing computer name to another hostname on the local subnet. I returned the value to its original but now I can't get the directory contents in WGM.

The path to the database specified in Admin Server for the OD looks to have all original content: /var/db/openldap/openldap-data.

Regardless of how this happened, is there a way to recover the WGM access to the original content that seems to be still there?

And no, I don't have a recent archive of the Open Directory data base. Can I fake one based on the existing and restore it, or some such?
