I am using Safari 6.0.2 on OS X 10.7.5. No matter what I try, I cannot get Safari to make new tabs active. Have reset Safari, deleted the cache.db file, uninstalled all extensions, re-installed Glims and installed SafariStand, all to no avail. Any ideas?

That is correct. When I open a new tab, either by clicking a link, double-clicking the tab bar or with command-T, it stays in the background.
Well, Safari just doesn't work like that. Although Google Chrome does switch tabs most of the time.
Yes, Safari is supposed to work like that. Otherwise, it wouldn't have a preference that says "When a new tab or window opens, make it active." It works fine on my other four other Macs, but not the MacPro. Looking for someone who knows why that might be.
Oh, then check your Safari Version. Are you up to date?

K. Try uninstalling Safari (if you can, i'm not sure if possible), and downloading it. P.S. Download Safari, THEN uninstall it. Then re-install it.
