I have a 1999 powermac g4 with a 10 GB drive I gave my daughter. Has Tiger which I no longer have the cd for. Needs to be repaiured, I have a pre intel Power book G4 running 10.5.8. Can I repair from that start up disk or via my laptop?

Can I use my laptop pre Intel G$ running 10.5.8 or the CD for 10.5 to start up without trouble?

Cannot boot from CD, I get a black screen with white info at the top. Scary. Trying my laptop next.

Is the 10.5 Install Disc a gray machine specif one, or the Retail Disc?
