Ive been trying to sync my Ipod touch 3g in my new Toshiba laptop using itunes but error appeared, " An unknown error occurred (13019). Please help.

Been using my Ipod touch for almost three years now and syncing it to different computers. Recently, when I tried to transfer music from my itunes library using my recently purchased Toshiba laptop model Satellite L45, an unknown error occured (13019). The OS in my Ipod touch is IOS4 and itunes suggesting to upgrade OS but im afraid that all music and videos installed therein might be erased. Please help.
