Is this information still up to date? https://discussions.apple.com/thread/1588351?answerId=7515914022#7515914022, i.e. can I still not use TM via WLAN (2 Macs connected via WLAN, TM drive (USB) attached to one of them; I'd like to use that disk for both Macs without having to carry the drive around the house every time.)

Sorry, but that is Not an available feature at this time. You can use two external hard drives with one Mac with Time Machine in ML, But you cannot use two Macs connected to one external drive with TM.
