scanner capabilities
when i install my canon mx350 printer it does not install the scanner capabilities only the printer portion.

If you are connecting your Canon printer to the AirPort base station's USB port, only the printer function will be supported. The "advanced" features, like scanning and copying are not supported with multi-function printers when connected this way.
On the other hand if you are connecting this printer via a wireless connection, then the printer driver used on your computer must support the scanning function.
