I am missing the info button from iPhoto (version 9.4.2) so I cannot see any information or manual add location (as shown on the tutorial video: http://www.apple.com/ca/findouthow/photos/#places). Please help!

That video is for iPhoto 8 (09) not iPhoto 9 (11). Yes, I know it's confusing.
To get to the info window and location click on the Info button at the bottom right of the iPhoto window:

Is there still a way in the updated version to add a "New Location" (the one where you can move the pin around) if Google is unable to present a search result?
You can do that via the Window ➙ Manage My Places menu option in the Places window.

Where do I get this 'extended photo info' ? I can't find it.
What version do you have?
I have iPhoto 9.4.1
There is no "extended" info, all the informtion is there when you click the Info button. See Old Toad's post above.
