how to unlock a 3Gs
I have recently found my old iphone 3GS 16GB but i cant remember the password. how can i unlock it?
iPhone 3GS, iOS 6
Restore it from the last backup.

Plug it into your computer running iTunes and click the restore button...
it says i need to unlock the phone first? but i dont know the passowrd?
Here are the easy steps. Open iTunes on computer. Connect iPhone to computer with USB Cable. Hold both Home and Power buttons of iPhone until iTunes recognizes iPhone in Recovery Mode. This usually takes about 20 seconds of holding both buttons. Click the Restore button of iTunes.
Then you're not using the computer it was set up to sync with or you set the passcode since you synced it last.
Follow brad805's advice above. Everything on the phone will be wiped.
