Audi A4 Iphone 5 connector problems.

My 2005 Audi A4 with Ipod connector/charger is not charging my Iphone 5. I have used the lighting to 30 pin connector. It plays the music without any problems, but will not get charged. Anyone else having this problem?

iPhone 5, iOS 6.0.1
