No Mac supports Siri. Dictation, yes.

Thanks. This helps. But then, I am not familiar with the dictation sofware on mac. Is it as good? The reason I am asking is I have an old macbook pro (2006). Am thinking of either getting an ipad and mac mini, or just getting a macbook air. But I like Siri so much on my iphone (for dictation purposes mainly) that I might forego the macbook air even though it is the more economic option. Any comments?
Siri and Dictation do different things, though they both use the same cloud-based facilities. Dictation converts speech into text. Siri interprets voice commands.
