I bought a new HP officejet Pro 8600 Plau and need to print a legal document. It worked fine on my old printer, but with this one it won't print all 14 inches, it cuts off one inch? Is it the driver?

Most ink jet printers, HP in particular, have a large non-printing area on the trailing edge. This is approximately 0.56 inches & there is nothing you can do about it other than use a different printer.
