Rental movie - how to extend.

Hi, everyone.

I have on several occasions rented movies that I didn't have the chance to watch in their entirety in the 24 hour rental period. As I look at my iPad the movie is still there but won't play. I have to rent the movie all over again, download it and then sync with my iPad so that I can finally finish watching it. This approach seems a bit irrational.

Since the movie is already in my iPad is there a way that I can simply extend the rental for one additional day in order to finish watching the movie instead of downloading it all over again ? Is there a way either in iTunes or on the iPad to pay an additional rental fee to extend that movie rental for one more day ?

Nope.

Have to re-rent it.

Thanks, Jonathan.

Now here is a good opportunity for a suggestion to Apple. This is one improvement I think frequent users of iTunes such as myself would welcome. Another one would be the extension of the rental period to 2 or more days as many of the movie rental companies do.
