Outlook to ical sync issues

Prior to installing ios6, my outlook calendar and ical synced beautifully with a usb cord. After ios6, it still goes through the motions and says it is "syncing calendar", but nothing actually syncs. I now have two completely different calendars ~ some things entered in outlook, others entered on phone. Each day, i have to compare the two so I don't miss appointments. I have been unsuccessful in setting up the icoud sync with outlook ~ I get an error message when it tries. So, that's not a viable solution. Can anyone help?
