Trouble with iPhone Bluetooth seeing devices

Just purchased iPhone 5, but it will not see any Bluetooth devices, Jabra headset or my ipad. Tried the usual, turning Bluetooth off on all devices and powering down (rebooting) turning Bluetooth on etc. iPhone will not see anything and the other devices do not see the iPhone, hints anyone

iPhone 5, iOS 6.0.1

Figured it out, thanks. It had been so long since, I had paired a new Bluetooth devices, I forgot to make Jabra discoverable (flashing blue-red). I am not sure why phone wasn't seeing iPad but when I made iPhone 5 a personal hotspot, it saw the iPad.
