I've hooked it up to my laptop, updated the itunes, then it did all 5 steps of the sync-ing process, and I'm just lost.
Pathetic as this may sound, someone please walk me through this. I'd really appreciate it!! Thanks😊

If you have synced and backed up then, while connected to itunes 10.7? click check for updates and it should give you the update to start.
Check for updates will be in the center of the screen in itunes.
Also make sure your on itunes 10.7 which requires osx 10.6.8

On your Mac...
Click on the Apple icon.. Top left in Finder...
> About this Mac > Version...what does it say?
Which ios are you running? Go to settings, general, about and scroll down till you see the word version.. What does it say beside it?

Ok, I'm sorry guys, maybe I'm making it harder than it is. I've never updated my phone's software before so I'm lost.
I have an iPhone 4
I don't have a MAC im using my PC
I don't have an iOs software on this phone at all
That's why I'm trying to figure out how to update it because I have apps that won't update because it needs atleast iOs 5 and I don't even have that
