How do I get my windows 7 pc to recognize my ipad 2 ?

i followed everything on both articles. its being recognized as "apple mobile device usb driver" when i troubleshoot it doesn't find a fix. under device status it says:

Windows cannot verify the digital signature for the drivers required for this device. A recent hardware or software change might have installed a file that is signed incorrectly or damaged, or that might be malicious software from an unknown source. (Code 52)

I know absolutely nothing about Windows, but with a quick Google search I found this article. Take a look. It will link you to the one support article that you have already read and tried the suggestions, but there is another support article that you can read and some other helpful information.
