How in the world do I do it? Back in the MobileMe days that was easy to find and set up but I can't figure out where to go to get an iCloud account set up.
I will also want to know how to change my entire Apple ID information over to it.
Help please! 🙂
Do you have an apple id?
You can set up iCloud using your ex-MobileMe email address or any other Apple ID you have. Then follow the procedures outlined here to set up your devices:

Caveats: you will need a Mac with Lioni 10.7.2 minimum or and iOS5 or 6 device. If you had a MobileMe account but did not migrate it to iCloud before 1 August it has been deleted together with the entire contents. You can reactivate the email address by setting up an iCloud account but not retrieve the previous contents. If you did migrate then setting up the account should show your emails, contacts and calendars (though not any files which were on your iDisk).
I do have an Apple ID. It's an old nonexisting email address I had years ago.
I'm not just trying to use iCloud, I want to create an @iCloud.com email address.
If you have an Apple ID you can use it to open an iCloud account uaing the information in the page I linked to. However you need to have a functioning email address with it because Apple will check that it works when you open the account, and should they need to contact you over a problem with your account it needs to be possible using a non-Apple address.
