HOW TO CONNECT BLUETOOTH TO CAR

Please help me, my friend had already connected bluetooth to her car and then as the iphone 4s was new i had to sync it to get all information transferred over.

So now it wont connect to bluetooth and had erased all contacts that was manual entered before first sync!!
