Software scheduled check 10.7.5

I have os x 10.7.5 on mac mini. The software update scheduled check is set to daily. It never seems to automatically check. I always have to do a manual check.

Hi Victor,

First, Safe Boot , (holding Shift key down at bootup), use Disk Utility from there to Repair Permissions.

Then move these files to the Desktop for now...

/Users/YourUserName/Library/Preferences/com.apple.systempreferences.plist

/Library/Preferences/com.apple.SoftwareUpdate.plist

Then delete the original of this last file since moving only copies it.

Reboot, set it up again & test.

PS. Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive.
