email for iMac?

How and where do I find email server on iMac if there is one. I use PC 80% of time and only use iMac for FCP but now realize I have a need for email now and then but don't know where to find it. I checked all the threads on this but none seem to answer my question, rather they're mostly about breakdowns of existing email servers.
