Error 1325 itunesminiplayer.resources

My Itunes still works, shows library, and updates podcasts. It just will not show my ipod on the itunes, even though when I go to my computer and it is visible there. I get this error message when I try to re-install itunes. Anybody else have this problem?

hi madthug!

maybe we can avoid having to deal with that 1325 (i've seen it before, but i can't say as i like it much).

The external drive was always listed as drive G but after this occurred it was listed as drive I, I changed the settings in itunes to reflect this.

if you've had a sudden change in your drive letter assignments, and you're no longer seeing the ipod, let's check on this possibility:

Windows confuses iPod with network drive and may keep iPod from mounting or songs may seem to disappear

I'll try to give a little more detail to this problem.

The power went out at my house when I was out work.
My itunes library is on an external drive because I only 15 GB.

The external drive was always listed as drive G but after this occurred it was listed as drive I, I changed the settings in itunes to reflect this.

Only problem with my computer is whenever I have Service Pack 2 from Windows on my computer it takes about a month before it prevents me from getting online with Verizon.

So once I installed itunes I had to remove Service Pack 2.
I will install it again, and see if it works.

If that doesn't work maybe I'll try to use RESTORE. Anybody have any other thoughts, on things I could try?

Thanks

hiya!

yeah, i'd try it first.

be very cautious about doing a system restore. if you do that "over the top" of a fresh itunes install, it can strip out installation registry entries, and itunes will start spitting a "some of the required files are missing" message at you every time you try to launch it.

here's a good resource on what System restore does and doesn't do for you:

hi Hannah!

good lord ... i haven't seen one of these in months, and now suddenly there's two in a single thread?

okay, the 1320-range of errors can be associated with Windows confusions to do with drives (although the 1324 and 1327 are much more common in this sort of context.)

so a few preliminary questions.

did you have your itunes program files on the external drive, or just the music files, or your entire itunes folder that normally lives in the "My Music" folder?

what drive letter does that external HD normally have? what drive letter does it seem to have now?

Thank you b

Your advice worked, I went in and changed the Drive letter on my external drive back to G from I and it worked perfectly.

Thank you again, I was freaking out because except for listening to the Adam Carolla show via the net everything else I listen to is on my IPod. (Keith and the Girl, Pete and Renee, Dawn and Drew, Nobodies, He said/she said, Rowdy Racing, etc.)

Good Day,

In regards to this same thread. I am getting Error 1325.T iTunes mini player resources is not a valid short file name. I was also getting when trying to open iTunes, iTunes libary cannot be read because it was created by a newer version of iTunes.

iTunes is set up on my laptop with the music saved to my external harddrive.

I have also opened up a second user and can open iTunes. I went in and deleated the prf. Did this while looking at other threads.

Any Ideas,

Best Regards,
Drew
