Locating text in a cell

I created a spreadsheet in Excel, opened it in Numbers, made many changes, then opened it in Numbers on the iPad. In some cells the bottom of the text is cut off - in other cells it is not. I've made sure that all the formatting is the same (that I know of) but I still have the same problem. If I increase the cell height the bottom of the text appears but I don't have enough room on my page to increase the height of all the affected cells. Any solutions?
