I am trying to switch from AirPort to AirPort Extreme

I am trying to switch from AirPort to AirPort Extreme. Followed all the directions, but cannot get APE

to work unless AP is still plugged in. Frustrated. Help.

G3, Mac OS X (10.4.8), iMAC and MacBook
