Question

10.0.6 - No Icon/List View or In/Out Points in Import Dialog

As you can see the list/icon view icons simply arent there....

So the 10.0.6 supposedly has the ability to set ranges of on clips to be imported...

I have neither icon/List view (all displays in List View)

And I have NO possibility of setting in/out points or ANY Ranges for the clip to be imported.

the skimmer works and I can hit play but i/o arent working along with icon View..

This goes for 3 computers running Snow Leopard, Lion and Mountain Lion...

What on earth am I doing wrong ?

That functionality is only available when importing from a camera or archive.

I tried importing from a camera as well. Canon 5DMKii... Dont work there either..

It's yet another stupidity of Canon. Try it from a card reader or disk archive. The Picture Transfer Protocol is switched off in the camera. How stupid is that?

Hey Tom,

thanks for your time.

Not Canon. Must FCPx... Tried putting the card in the card reader. While I COULD create an Archieve from the Card inside FCPx I could NOT gain access to the IconView/in/out point featres. However, AFTER creating the archieve I had full access to those icons AND the i/o features.

Really strange. But I got it now ! Thanks The same, Tom ;-)
