i cannot get my newly purchased songs from itunes to ipod
i cannot get my ipod to sync to receive new purchases
i have tried to copy/paste and drag fromn library to playlist with no luck
i keeps asking me to erase old and sync to new

You can only sync with one iTunes library/computer. From the information you posted yo are try to sync with another library.
