IPhone 5 turn off and on itself!

to save battery it will turn off if not used for a while

turning off is just suspended where it can still recieve calls and the likes

if phones did not do such things batt life would only be a few hours

I have this problem too. I've had my phone for 2 months and the turning off just started about a week ago. It is not a battery issue, complete charge. Randomly, my phone will turn on for about 10 min and just as I start to use it, it turns off despite a full battery. I've tried restarting, repeated plugging in, I'm completely frustrated because my phone is utterly useless.

Yup, have the same problem.. Mine when it turns off it has this fade away effect, then it turns back on with an apple sign and again fades away.. Most of the time i have to hold the power and the menu button to force a shut down.. But even that wont fix the problems, tried restore to default settings.. Not working like a iphone5 suppose to be.. Sometimes when i tilt the screen it turns off.. Apple need to narrow down and recall some batches of iphone5 because the more they brush these issue off, they will lose many customers.. Giving the phone a bad reputation!!

same problem, with the fade away effect; tried to restore it, but no fix; i'm taking it to apple store....so dissapointing, the phone is 3 weeks old and i had similar problems with iphone 4!!!

Fool me once....apple is loosing me as a future customer.

I have the same problem! Have you tried to updade the software?? What did you do afterall?

I have the same problem. It will just go blank and I press both off button and home button. Nothing.... Then it will turn itself on a good 10 seconds later. What do I do? Just deal with it? What if there is an emergency and my phone is off?

Same problem here with iPhone 5 64 Gb version bought only a month ago!!
