No clear table telling you which version of Restoration CD is required

There is no clear table telling you which mode Mac required which version of Restoration CD. I have an iMac9,1 and I've looked at each version of Restoration CD and not one has the model iMac9,1. Apple needs to post a table like this article says.

Article http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2213 clearly says:
"Compare the model information to the list on the download page in order to choose the correct Restoration CD image to download for your computer."

yet there is no list. You need to select each version of the Restoration CD to see if your comptuer uses this version. That said again I could not find which version was for iMac9,1

Too many to list..., Mac OS X (10.6.6), desktops, servers, laptops, mobile devices etc.

You didn't look hard enough. See Mac OS X versions (builds) for computers. 😉

This is the OS X Version, not the Firmware Restoration CD info. That's what I need. I know the Mac OS X version that come for each and I have the model of the iMac. Just can't seem to find a chart for Firmware like the article says there is.

First hit from a google search for mac computer builds. Getting the right terms helps. Simpler is better. 😉

The search for firmware updates mac yields three KB docs:

support.apple.com/kb/HT1237

support.apple.com/kb/HT1395

support.apple.com/kb/HT1557

Those should give you what you're looking for. 😎

Thanks for the help but I've already looked through these articlets. Still does not tell me what Restoration CD I need. It needs Firmware 1.4 but this doesn't mean it uses the Restoration 1.4 CD. Apple needs a chart or at least more into on Firware Restoration CD's. I've already tried CD 1.4. Guess I'll be downloading all of them and trying them all.
