Cannot sync video with what person is saying

Is there some way to sync what the person is saying with the video. They are off by about 2 seconds?

Mac OS X (10.7.3)

Hi

To be able to help - You need to support much more info

• Video recorded on What Camera, in What frame rate etc

• Audio from Camera ? in what format and bit-depth e.g. .aiff 16-bit 48kHz (as on miniDV tape Cameras)

If You recorded in LP-mode or in 12-bit 32kHz audio format or in 29.97 frames per second and use this in a 25 fps project. Or even worse recorded in 24 fps and put it into a 25 fps project.

Then the Audio goes out of sync and this can be very cumbersome to get right.

• Rule One - Keep Camera, Audio Recorder and Movie project in same frame rate and use JES_Deinterlacer to convert the final movie to the frame rate needed (as this is free on internet and does this Very Very Good)

But there are a lot of things that can cause this - So Please give much more info on device used, Your way to handle it and Your aim - if a DVD then there are even more to consider.

It was working just fine about half way through the project. Then I added another clip to the Project Library and now everything after it out of sync. One thing I noticed is there is a solid blue clip preceeding the clip where everything goes out of sync and I can't seem to delete it. I transfered the info from a Sony tape camcorder using a Roxio converter.
