Can I stop reading list from pre-loading websites on the local device?

I really like the Reading List and I use it all the time for reading news from aggregation sites. However, I don't like that it seems to have started pre-loading websites since upgrading to iOS6. I don't want it to do that, but I can't seem to find any way to turn that option off. Flipping the switch to Off at the "Use Cellular Data" option at Settings > Safari > Reading List doesn't seem to do it. That seems to be more for stopping iCloud syncing (which I'm not using anyway) but it doesn't stop the local device from pre-loading the website after I add it to my reading list. Does anyone know if there is a way to stop Reading List from pre-loading sites? Thanks.
