There are 9 different versions of iPhoto and they run on eight different versions of the Operating System. The tricks and tips for dealing with issues vary from version to version and OS to OS. So before anyone can help, they need information to work with. Things like:

    - What version of iPhoto.

    - What version of the Operating System.

    - Details. What were you doing when the problem arose?

    - Did it ever work properly?

    - Are there error messages?

    - What steps have you tried already to solve the issue.

Anything else you can think of that might allow someone else to understand your issue.

    Yes my Iphoto did work.

    No Error Message

I hooked up my camera like i do everyday and when it started Iphoto it showed the pictures but it would not let me upload them. So i click out , Then hooked it up again and then all it will do is show the arrow going round and round. Not showing anything.

Apple had me to try and hold Command and option down and then open Iphoto and then there is about 5 diiferent things to try and it did not do anything. Once up at the top it showed it was trying but nothing.

And where do i find what version of Iphoto i have. pretty stupid when it comes to computers.

    I have MAC OS X Version 10.6.8

    Thanks Barbie

    As a Test:

Hold down the option (or alt) key and launch iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Create Library'

Import a few pics into this new, blank library. Is the Problem repeated there?
