itunes refused to backup my iphone4, because the backup corrupt or not compatible with the iphone?

last backup ...with ios 5.0.1.. ?? Then i upgrade my iphone4 with 6.0.1 and i chooce in the ios set up device screen.....as a new device, bucause i confused. so now itunes refused to restore from the last backup and promp me that is no compatible etc.
