Sep 24, 2013 2:42 PM in response to Hurry Caneby chris aston,Hi guys, need to do the same as the original enquiry. However, i purchased extra data storage with icloud.
Would this be lost if i deleted the account or is it transferable to the new id?
many thanks.

Sep 24, 2013 2:45 PM in response to chris astonby randers4,If you simply renamed the ID, the storage would remain since you are actually signing back into the same account, just with a different name. If you are changing to a new ID, you would lose the storage as you would be changing accounts and the storage remains with the account it was purchased for.

Go to https//appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Tap edit next to the primary email account, tap Edit, change it back to your old email address and save the change. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iPhone on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https//appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was. Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

Oct 13, 2013 9:01 PM in response to Hurry Caneby khaileng,Hi
I had problems with my icloud account. The email address has been deactivated and the password could not be used.
So i set up a new one. But the iCLOUD settings still shows the old account details. I tried to delete the old account but could not because i would be prompted to key in the password (which did not work due to some security issue).
I have managed to change the iTUNES account based on the tips given is this support group but someone cant change the iCLOUD account.
How can I change the iCLOUD account? Please help!!

Oct 14, 2013 4:53 PM in response to khailengby randers4,You have to delete the old account, provide the password for the old ID when prompted to turn off Find My iPhone, then sign back in with the ID you wish to use. If you don't know the password for your old ID, or if it isn't accepted, go to https//appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID.

Oct 14, 2013 7:55 PM in response to khailengby randers4,Then you must be trying to change the primary email address on an ID that this email address was not originally linked to. If you had a different iCloud ID that once used the old email address as its primary email address, that is the one that needs to be edited to add back this old email address. After doing so, you would be able to use the password for that iCloud ID to turn off Find My iPhone.
If this old email address was never associated with an iCloud ID then you'll have to contact Apple support for assistance: http://www.apple.com/support/icloud/contact/.

Oct 25, 2013 4:06 AM in response to Hurry Caneby Afogart,I am trying to change my Apple ID for my iCloud. It is under a hotmail account that got hacked a while ago, and I cannot get into this email account and I don't know my password for that iCloud Apple ID. I just want this fixed but I am not sure what to do. I've heard by deleting your iCloud account you can mess things up. What should I do?
