Q: Need help merging 2 libraries into 1, but I have issues...
Did some research and can't figure this out. I have 2 libaries sitting on my RAID drive connected to my Airport Extreme. I tried moving them over a year ago from my Macbook Air to the drive and screwed something up, but it still works. Now I have 2 folders, iTunes 2 and iTunes 3.
- iTunes 2 is 26.52GB and 3471 items in the folder. iTunes 3 is 27.75GB and has 2604 items in it.
- iTunes 2 has an "iTunes Library.xml" file and other "iTunes Library" files, but iTunes 3 has nothing...no xml or any Library file.
- Songs from iTunes 3 appear to be in iTunes 2 after a quick comparision.
- It appears most of my songs in the iTunes program are located in iTunes 3. (I did a quick sample with Command I on several songs)
I'm assuming the xml file is seeing both folders but is calling out only 1.
- Running iTunes 10.7
How can I get everything into 1 iTunes folder? I want to reduce the amount of disk space both current folders are using. I'm thinking I can go from 53GB to around 27GB.
Thanks!
Mac OS X (10.7.2)
