Email not verified on Facetime

I'm trying to use facetime on my MacBook Pro, and each time i put in my email address and password it "Could not verify the email address. Please check your network connection and try again."

I have gone to appleid.apple.com, and my email is verified. I'm using my correct password and username. The same user and password works fine on my iphone. What's wrong with my Facetime?
