how do I upgrade my iPod to iOS 4.3

How do I upgrade my iPod to iOS 4.3? it wont let me download any new apps and half of them dont even work anymore and it has erased all of my pictures

iPod touch, iOS 4.2.7, so frustrating!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

iPod 4G

Connect to iTunes and hit update ( it may take you to iOS 6.0.1)

A 1G iPod can go to iOS 3.1.3

A 2G to 4.2.1

A 3G to 5.1.1

A 4G to 6
