What "European version"? You can change the language in Settings>General>Siri>Language. I have never heard the "European version" but I just changed the language to English UK and the voice is a mans voice. I assume you know the differences between a man and a woman's voice, and that there are by my count 7 other European languages in the settings so European version could be any one of those languages.
So what are you talking about?
Yes it's on the correct setting English United States here some YouTube videos with the differences in the voice sounds like the first one is like mine now: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uoCax-H6JWY&sns=em
Here's how she should sound like on my iPhone: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qHgfEacOHXc&sns=em
Thanks
Better miking on the second youtube video. If you are concerned about it make a Genius Bar appointment at your nearest Apple Store. Keep in mind the mini has different audio chip and stereo speakers.
